Traditional Wooden Yacht and Boat Builders

A & R Way Boatbuilding are a team of wooden boat builders, led by partner Adam Way and based in our own boatyard near to the Crinan Canal in mid Argyll, Scotland.

We are highly skilled, enthusiastic and experienced in all aspects of building wooden boats, yacht fitting out and classic yacht restoration. All our work is carried out to a very high standard. This along with our very competitive rates and friendly service makes us the ideal choice to bring your project or dream to life.

As well as our workshop facilities we can slip boats at Tarbert and offer winter lay up at Cairnbaan on the Crinan Canal.

New Wooden Boats

Why not get in touch about your new boat, be it a clinker boat, a traditional wooden design or a modern wood epoxy yacht. We are especially interested in historical replicas of sail powered fishing boats and classic yachts or replicas for films.

We can build new wooden boats to order, up to 50ft, carvel planked, traditional clinker, cold moulded or any other modern glued wood construction.

We build to an existing design, be it a set of drawings or a replica of your old boat, or we are happy to help work up a design tailored to your requirements.

We can also supply part built boats, e.g. hull & deck for home finnishing.

All boats are built from quality timbers using copper and bronze fastenings.
