At A & R Way boatbuilding we have a few special classic boats for restoration, awaiting new owners. These are available and mostly priced at a level just to cover costs.

List of Traditional wooden Boats

Maurice Griffiths Lone Gull 11 - The original... Griffiths's own boat built 1961, Carvel construction 28ft sloop. Renowned for being comfortable and capable, bilge keels with centre keel ballast. Needs new deck and deck house. Much work done. Hull in good condition. Farryman twin cylinder diesel. Good sails and rigging.

30 sq metre Vanja - Skerry cruiser. These boats are lightly built racing machines with Bermudan rig. 42ft. In need of major restoration. Available with own new purpose built trailer.

Kelvin Utility Launch - 22ft carvel launch, pitch pine on oak, probably built 1920s by the Kelvin engine company and currently fitted with a Kelvin P2 diesel (running) . A very nice easily propelled old style open launch with pram hood in good order. Some work done she will be finished ready for the spring.

Scottish Islands one Design - This boat is available to us for a suitable customer to restore. She should return to the waters around here to race with others in the class. Designed by Alfred Milne in the 1920s they are beautiful day sailors with small cabin. Fast and shapely.
